Special Hearts

Gifts made from a child's handprints are always special, so why not try this heart:

handprint heart

Paint one hand and place it, keeping fingers together, onto the centre of a piece of paper. Then, paint the other hand and place it so that the fingers overlap. This can be given as a keepsake ( by adding a name and date ) or made into a card for a special occasion? However you decide to use it, it is sure to be treasured!

Button Bracelet

A very quick and easy bracelet - all your need is a piece of cord and some buttons!

button bracelet

Find the middle of the cord, then thread on your first button and tie it off at the back. Leave a space, tie a knot and thread on your next button. Tie it off at the back, as shown, so that the button stays in place. Repeat this on both sides of your first button until the bracelet is long enough to go around your wrist ( depending on the size of your wrist, you can vary the distance between each button ).

Cut the cord and attach a fastener or simply tie the two ends together. You can use any size or style of buttons or maybe attach large and small buttons together, one on top of the other, for a different effect. Oh so pretty!
