Create a bright summer hand-painted sunflower ...

Paint your hand with bright yellow paint and put several handprints onto paper to create a flower shape. You will need to repaint your hand between each handprint.

Paint black seeds in the middle of the flower and add a green stalk and leaves.

You can paint the black seeds by dipping your finger tip in black paint and dabbing little circles onto the paper.

Or to create a fabulous effect you could stick real sunflower seeds onto your painting!

summer spinnerStart by cutting out a square of decorated paper ( approximately 15 x 15 cm ).

From each corner, cut a diagonal halfway towards the centre of the paper.

Fold each alternate corner into the centre.

Secure with a fastener, and cover with a button or similar ( we used a bottle top ).

Attach a stick to the back of the paper then plant the stick in the garden, or in the sand, or hold it in your hands and watch it spin!

Using a cocktail stick, punch out your initials. Put the FIMO into the oven to bake, according to the instructions on the packet. Cool in water and dry ( you can varnish the pendant, if you wish ). Attach a cord, ribbon or chain and wear.
